April 16, 2015 - North of Minden Nebraska US
Mid April, South Central Nebraska the past few years has been slow on storm development but not 2015. We've already had more severe storms in the past 2 months than the past few years combined. All I can say is.... Awesome!
There were minor storm cells all over south central Nebraska. Nothing was severe, though I decided to go out anyways due to there was some good photographic opportunities on the threshold.
There was one storm cell that looked like it could develop into something and just north of Minden Nebraska I was on the money shots.
Its the first monster shelf cloud of the season, and I was taking snaps like a crazy man!
NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
