April 10, 2019 - Northern Kansas
First official storm chase of 2019 is in the books. No nader but it was good to finally get me back into my element. Though I have been out several times for the clouds & some minor storms this spring. This was the first time I got to chase our first batch of severe storms in 2019. Right in my backyard.
Mesoscale discussion had finally came out about 6:00pm and my puter decided to and update while on the chase... figures... I did all the prep work the night before so it wouldn't do it but it did anyways. So after a small delay I got my twitch stream back up and running and I was recording the whole time so really nothing lost.
Not the best structure for early April, but that was to be expected. I've never really put my faith in early spring storms in my neck of the woods. Past few years they have been nothing but temp runs for the real thing in May. That is all to come. But getting out was fun and I did get some good...
NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
