June 2, 2010 - Kearney Nebraska US
Had the day off from work, and the Vortex 2 team (www.vortex2.org) had rested overnight in Kearney.
I had met up with some kewl folks from the Vortex 2 team that day. Met Mike Bettes (http://www.weather.com/tv/personalities/news/mike-bettes) from the Weather Channel and exchanged some insights....
Severe storms that day were on the Southeastern side of Nebraska, and due to my chasing partners were unavailable to do we stayed close to home and did not tag along with the Vortex 2 team.
Unfortunately, nothing severe happened in South Central Nebraska, but I did get a few good shots that afternoon and evening as some of the storms were producing some good photographic storm cells.
NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
