Artist's Description
June 10, 2015 - South of Overton Nebraska US
Finally a good chase day I can brag about....
A moderate risk day in South Central Nebraska, with storm forming on the western side of Dawson County & counties due south and southwest.
The first batch of storms were over and the severe warnings now were all pushing north northeast. I pushed down to Overton & the I-80 Interchange as strong new cells were developing to my southwest.
Now for the best part of the day for myself. I have passion for shelf clouds, more than any other cloud type, yes even more than tornadoes. I punched my ticket and had a great seat for the show!
This supercell meant business with 60 mph outflow winds, hail, and torrential rain... I was prepared!
About NebraskaSC
NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
