August 11, 2019 - Hwy 385 North of Wray Colorado
On the hunt for Severe Weather after about a month off of chasing. Though, always prepared and ready to go on another storm chasing adventure, once the storm models look favorable I was off to Eastern Colorado!
This cell was in regeneration mode and was about to produce another tornado just to the west of Wray Colorado. We had to catch up and get back in front of the base. Though the base had now expanded and was building. We got back into position as we proceeded north of Wray but the storm was violent and severe enough for us to make us turn around and head east. But before we did we witnessed some incredible outflow.
This shelf cloud was mean and nasty. Just the way I like it! It was really showing her teeth!
NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
