Late afternoon Supercells storms were forming out in southwest Nebraska. Issued warnings were place for Furnas Frontier & Gosper counties. They weren't moving fast but they were rebuilding and moving due east...
Most of you that know me via my photo-stream on Flickr, or Fine Arts America that when a thunderstorm opportunity arises, I usually don't miss a beat. I haven't had a chance to capture much lightning this year, and so that meant that this evenings mission was lightning captures, and was in for a treat.
Hwy 283 South of Lexington Nebraska the sun was setting, and I was already getting some incredible light.
Check out this incredible double rainbow, right at sunset!
NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
