May 3, 2020 - Ogallala Nebraska
First moderate risk day of the year out in Western Nebraska. We decided to head out early to catch the action.
Was trying to Twitch Stream (twitch.tv/nebraskasc) our chase this day, though my HD camera decided otherwise. Had many technical glitches that afternoon and I'm happy mishaps happen on the first chase of the year. Prepares the next adventure without failure.
First storm erupted north of Grant Nebraska but I was messing around with the live feed and didn't take any snaps... put the problems aside and moved north to Ogallala Nebraska to catch this dying cell.
Not many pics in this set but was caught was worth every second to get out of the house for a few hours!
NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
