August 27, 2015 - Hwy 40 NW, Nebraska, US
Storms now moving from Custer County to to Northeast Dawson county. Had to hall a$$ north to get set up and find a good location to get some great snaps. Off to Hwy 40 NW to intercept this storm cell in eastern Dawson county!
Now parked on the west side of Sumner Nebraska, there was rotation on radar and visual. Intercept was imminent, and it was almost right on top of me. Maybe a little to close, but the radar told me that this cell was going to pass to my southeast. (Its not always this easy) I managed to get in the perfect position as this storm cell was cresting almost due south now. I was snapping away like a crazy wind!
Truly, I had tickets for the best seats in the house!
NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
