August 4, 2016 - Southwest of Wood River Nebraska, US
I had the night off and we had 90% chance of severe weather developing after sunset. I was on a mission to capture some lightning. Though chasing these types of storms, watching them build and dye sporadically this time of year in South Central Nebraska can be frustrating.
Simply we had find the right cells and get into intercept position in front of the storm. Not an easy task, but I wasn't going to be denied on this night's chase....
Waiting for the first cells to develop just to our west as warnings were just issued, we had this incredible sunset...
