August 7, 2021 - South of Grand Island Nebraska US

Late afternoon early evening storms were on the back of the Low coming though south central Nebraska. This means they were traveling from the southeast and moving to the north / north west. That is not normal for us... usually west to east!

Severe warnings went up and were were prepped and ready. Not to far of a jaunt from home as we ended up just south of the Grand Island I-80 Exit. A few miles south to be exact. You can see the city of Doniphan Nebraska to our south in this video as we had the drone up for a short amount of time....

August 2021 has been a gem for storm photography and videography! This was just the beginning of the month!!!!

NebraskaSC = Nebraska Storm Chaser I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time. I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.
